I'm Jake, and Oak Roots LLC is my family owned outdoor living company based in Milan, Indiana. I built it on the belief that your outdoor spaces should be built with the same care and craftsmanship as the finest indoor work.
The Man Behind Every Build
I'm the owner and lead craftsman of Oak Roots LLC. I'm a self-taught woodworker who fell in love with timber frame construction and outdoor living design. I've spent years perfecting my skills through hands-on building and dedicated research, developing a deep expertise in outdoor structures, hardscapes, and complete outdoor living environments.
I oversee every project personally. When you call Oak Roots, you talk to me. When your project is being built, I'm on site. That personal involvement isn't just a promise. It's the foundation of how I operate.

We build with materials that are worth building with. Our timber frame structures use locally sourced White Oak and Douglas Fir. Our hardscapes use premium travertine, marble, and natural stone. Every structural connection uses stainless steel hardware. We do not cut corners on materials because we know what it takes to build something that lasts.
My mission when I started Oak Roots was to reintroduce the quality of timber frame craftsmanship that our culture has largely forgotten. That mission has grown to include complete outdoor living spaces where every element is designed and built with the same philosophy. quality materials, expert craftsmanship, and a personal commitment to every client.
